Uniroyal Tires Review

Uniroyal is a very odd brand of tires, historically speaking. For us to cover its history, it’ll take us forever and a day. All you need to know about the brand is that its operation is controlled by the two giants Michelin and Continental.

Uniroyal Tires (Brand Overview)

Uniroyal Tires Overall Assessment

where are uniroyal tires made

Uniroyal is a brand of tires that’s divided between two mammoths in the tires industry, so it’s safe to assume that they know what they’re doing when it comes to offering high-quality tires. Uniroyal has been delivering reliable tires for over 127 years, with all of their tires developed and manufactured in the U.S.A.

Despite being budget-friendly, Uniroyal tires have zero compromises when it comes to build quality. As we already mentioned, their operation is spearheaded by Michelin and Continental, and their products are designed and manufactured in the U.S, so you’re guaranteed excellent build quality.

uniroyal tire reviews

Buying a set of Uniroyal tires won’t break the bank at all. These tires are priced around the $80 price range, so they’re pretty cost-effective compared to other competitors within their class. The most you’re going to pay for a Uniroyal tire is around $105, which is still pretty reasonable.

Uniroyal flaunts an extensive catalog of tires for a wide range of vehicles, including SUVs, light trucks, minivans, sedans, pickups, and even large commercial vehicles. The brand specializes in developing excellent all-season tires. All of their tires are available in a broad range of sizes and specs; you’re guaranteed to find a model that suits your requirements.

Fuel Efficiency

There’s nothing really notable about Uniroyal tires when it comes to fuel efficiency. They don’t implement any proprietary technologies or tread designs to reduce rolling resistance for lower fuel consumption. However, they won’t have you spending more than usual on fuel.

Uniroyal tires are as tough as they come. Their internal construction is exceptionally sturdy, as they usually utilize twin steel belts and nylon caps. They also utilize durable tread compounds that are able to maintain excellent performance at higher speeds for a long period of time.

It’s also worth mentioning that all of Uniroyal tires are backed by superb tread warranties that average at around 50,000 miles.

Whether you’re driving on dry or wet terrain, you’re going to enjoy reliable traction and fluid handling with a set of Uniroyal tires. These tires usually feature wide circumferential grooves that aid in improving wet traction by reducing the risk of hydroplaning. They also come with pronounced siping for an optimal grip in light snow. However, we don’t recommend utilizing Uniroyal tires for deep snow, slush, or ice.
