The Ohtsu FP0612 A/S is an all-season/touring hybrid tire that promises to deliver a capable performance in an affordable package. Ohtsu intended the FP0612 to be a tire that can be used on all roads while also providing you with the comfort of a touring tire.
In this review, we’ll take an in-depth look at the Ohtsu FP0612 and see what it has to offer at such an amazing price.
Ohtsu FP0612 A/S Tires (Our Review)
The Ohtsu FP0612 A/S features an asymmetric tread design, giving you a great performance on all types of terrain and in all weather conditions. Especially on dry roads, the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S provides outstanding traction.
It’s also worth mentioning that its stopping distance is on par with higher-end tire models. Thanks to the four circumferential grooves and deep sipes, the FP0612 is capable of dispersing water effectively, giving you a solid grip even on soaking wet roads.
Moreover, the tire steering is pretty responsive, and you should have no issues making a sharp turn as the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S ensures excellent handling that’s further enhanced with the angled grooves.
Being a hybrid touring and all-season tire, the FP0612 provides a comfortable ride even on rough roads, despite producing some noise. The sidewalls are firm but not too stiff, which allows for a smooth ride without sacrificing isolation and comfort.
Our only complaint about this tire is that steering at low speeds feels a bit numb, but that feeling goes away as you accelerate. It’s also almost unusable in deep snow, but you can’t expect a good snow performance from a budget all-season tire anyway.

- Relatively short braking distance
- Provides a comfortable ride on rough terrains
- Sporty asymmetric tread design with good water dispersion
- Poor performance in deep snow

The Ohtsu FP0612 A/S retails at a starting price of 34$, much lower than many other tire models in the same class. Prices may vary slightly depending on region and dealers. You can also find these tires offered at discounted prices in select places.
Ohtsu provides a warranty for the first 40,000 miles on treadwear. This is the only warranty you get, which is disappointing considering that many other manufacturers provide warranty on workmanship, materials, and tire uniformity. You may find some dealer-specific extended warranties if you’re into that.
Ohtsu FP0612 A/S Tire Customer Review
Rick White says: “I got a set of the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S tires just for the price, but I have to say that I was totally impressed with their performance. The dry and wet traction is incredible, and their noise is barely noticeable. Can’t say anything about tread life just yet as I’ve only used them for a couple of months, but it seems like a very solid set of tires for my Kia Optima.”Rick White posted (4 / 5) review
Tiffany Green says: “Don’t let the price of the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S fool you. These tires provide an outstanding grip on the road, even in heavy rain. The noise is barely noticeable, provided that the road is smooth. My baby son can sleep comfortably in the car, even when traveling for long distances. I can’t really complain about anything; definitely recommend these as an all-season set of tires. Just don’t use them in deep snow; there are winter tires for that.”Tiffany Green posted (4 / 5) review
