Ohtsu FP0612 A/S Tires (Our Review)
Overall Assessment
The Ohtsu FP0612 A/S features an asymmetric tread design, giving you a great performance on all types of terrain and in all weather conditions. Especially on dry roads, the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S provides outstanding traction.
It’s also worth mentioning that its stopping distance is on par with higher-end tire models. Thanks to the four circumferential grooves and deep sipes, the FP0612 is capable of dispersing water effectively, giving you a solid grip even on soaking wet roads.
Moreover, the tire steering is pretty responsive, and you should have no issues making a sharp turn as the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S ensures excellent handling that’s further enhanced with the angled grooves.
Being a hybrid touring and all-season tire, the FP0612 provides a comfortable ride even on rough roads, despite producing some noise. The sidewalls are firm but not too stiff, which allows for a smooth ride without sacrificing isolation and comfort.
Our only complaint about this tire is that steering at low speeds feels a bit numb, but that feeling goes away as you accelerate. It’s also almost unusable in deep snow, but you can’t expect a good snow performance from a budget all-season tire anyway.
Pros:
- Very affordable compared to other tires in the same category
- Excellent traction on dry and wet roads
- Relatively short braking distance
- Provides a comfortable ride on rough terrains
- Sporty asymmetric tread design with good water dispersion
Cons:
- Poor performance in deep snow
- A bit noisy, especially on rough terrain

Ohtsu FP0612 A/S Tire Customer Review
Rick White says: “I got a set of the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S tires just for the price, but I have to say that I was totally impressed with their performance. The dry and wet traction is incredible, and their noise is barely noticeable. Can’t say anything about tread life just yet as I’ve only used them for a couple of months, but it seems like a very solid set of tires for my Kia Optima.”

Tiffany Green says: “Don’t let the price of the Ohtsu FP0612 A/S fool you. These tires provide an outstanding grip on the road, even in heavy rain. The noise is barely noticeable, provided that the road is smooth. My baby son can sleep comfortably in the car, even when traveling for long distances. I can’t really complain about anything; definitely recommend these as an all-season set of tires. Just don’t use them in deep snow; there are winter tires for that.”
