Overall Assessment
The tread compound that the NS-20 utilizes has an M+S traction rating, which ensures optimal performance in dry and wet weather conditions. You can rely on this tire to deliver good grip on dry surfaces. There’s also a continuous center rib that improves stability and steering regardless of speed.
The NS-20 features circumferential grooves and tread block siping to ensure good performance on wet roads. These grooves also aid in preventing hydroplaning so that you can drive with confidence.
The NS-20 is available in four speed ratings: H, V, W, and Y. It’s also available in various sizes and specs, so you have a lot of wiggle room when it comes to selection. The tire’s cornering is good, but not good enough for spirited drivers that like to take things to the limit. The sidewall is on the softer side, which results in notable understeering. Nonetheless, the cornering is decent enough for the price.
As far as the tread life, it could use some slight improvements, but once again, considering the price, this shouldn’t be much of a big deal. Some tires offer superior tread life and cornering capabilities, but you’ll have to pay more.
