Mastercraft LSR Grand Touring (Our Review)
Overall Assessment
The LSR Grand Touring tire is equipped with a unique tread that flaunts a compound formulated from silica content and carbon black. The tread has a symmetrical pattern that ensures excellent traction on dry and wet pavement. It’s also optimized to reduce rolling resistance, which makes this a fuel-efficient tire.
The tire uses a multi-rib design that consists of either 4 or 5 ribs, depending on the tire’s speed rating—this design aids in providing an ultra-stable driving experience.
There are lateral and circumferential grooves that ensure reliable wet traction and help reduce the risk of hydroplaning. The tire is also capable of navigating light snow without any problems. However, this isn’t a winter-specific tire, so we don’t recommend using it in deep snow or ice.
Pros:
- Dependable traction on dry and wet traction
- Quiet and comfortable driving experience
- Great tread life and warranty for the price
- Highly stable and responsive performance
Cons:
- Winter traction can use some improvements

Mastercraft LSR Grand Touring Tire Customer Review
Mark H. says: “I’ve always been a fan of Mastercraft as a brand because they know how to deliver the goods without listing their products at extortionate prices. The LSR Grand Touring starts at about $70 yet it’s backed by an awesome 80,000-mile warranty. Need I say more?”

Steven K. says: “The Mastercraft LSR Grand Touring is a dazzling example of what budget-friendly tires should look like. The only problem you might have with this tire is its winter traction, which shouldn’t be that big of a deal considering it’s not a winter tire. Apart from that, the tire is very well-rounded.”
