Nowadays, the market is full of tires that claim the ability to improve fuel consumption; among the most popular ones is the Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max. As claimed by the manufacturer, this is a tire that can help save you around 2,600 miles of fuel throughout its lifespan. Is that a fact, or is it just a marketing gimmick? We attempt to address that question in this Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max review.

Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max (Our Review)
Overall Assessment
The Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max flaunts a unique design that enables it to achieve superb traction on dry surfaces. The design consists of large shoulder blocks, a continuous center rib, and circumferential shoulder grooves. This combination of design elements also ensures ideal stability and traction on wet surfaces as well as a lengthy tread lifespan.
The tire’s performance on wet terrain is nothing short of impressive, courtesy of the dual Aquachannel grooves that aid in eliminating the risk of hydroplaning by expelling water from beneath the tread. Further, the tire incorporates zig-zag micro-grooves that, along with the tread notches found at the center of the tire, grant the tire a lot of biting edges for improved grip on wet and snowy terrain.
However, you must keep in mind that this isn’t a winter-specific tire, so its winter performance might disappoint you if you have very hard expectations. Also, the tire can be a little noisy, but that’s just us nitpicking.

Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max Tire Customer Review
Ryan T. says: “I’ve never been disappointed by a Goodyear tire, and that’s still the case after trying the Fuel Max. This is one of the few “fuel-efficient” tires that actually help reduce fuel consumption to a notable extent. The tire is comfortable, responsive, and grippy. Road noise can be reduced a little bit, but it’s not that big of a deal.”

Anthony B. says: “A couple of months have passed since I purchased this tire, and I have to admit, it does save a considerable amount of fuel. I was a little skeptical at first considering my previous experiences with so-called fuel-efficient tires, but Goodyear has proved me wrong with this tire.”
