Federal Couragia MT Tires (Our Review)
Overall Assessment
The Federal Couragia MT flaunts an aggressive tread pattern design, which, combined with the strengthened shoulder, ensures consistent traction on all roads. The block design enables the Couragia MT to deliver outstanding off-road traction no matter how rough the terrain is.
Thanks to the reinforced compounds, you don’t have to worry about damaging your tires, with guaranteed protection against chips and abrasions. Furthermore, the incremental block edge does a great job of shedding away dirt, gravel, and sand, which drastically improves off-road traction.
And while the Couragia MT isn’t a winter tire, it performs surprisingly well in moderate snow with the help of the deep shoulder lugs and sipes. The sidewalls come in 2 or 3-ply configurations depending on the models, enhancing the tire’s flexibility.
Despite being a bit noisy, the Couragia MT is considered quieter than several other tire models that we’ve reviewed, but this is definitely an area that Federal can work on in future releases of this tire.
Pros:
- Excellent off-road performance
- Reinforced compounds protect the tire from chips and abrasions
- Block design for better off-road handling

Prices
The Federal Couragia MT has a price tag of around $110 for the base model, which is quite reasonable for a mid-range tire. Prices vary depending on the dealer, size, and specs. You can also find some price cuts here and there.
Warranty
The Federal Couragia MT comes with a limited warranty for the tread, and that’s about it. We were expecting better warranty coverage for such a high-performing tire with great potential, but it seems like we can’t have it all.

Harry M. says: “Getting a set of off-road tires has always been a hit or miss for me. If they can’t perform when they’re needed the most, you’ve just got yourself a useless set of tires. Luckily, I’ve come across the Federal Couragia MT, and I highly doubt that I’m ever going back. This beast can rock it on virtually all types of terrain. My baby Frontier loves them.”
