Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring (Our Review)
Overall Assessment
The vast majority of tires utilize silica content in their tread compounds to improve traction, and the Cooper CS5 Ultra is no different. However, it utilizes 4x the amount of silica that competitor tires use, which ensures a superior grip on dry and wet surfaces. The tire also flaunts 3D gauge grooves that aid in improving cornering and handling capabilities.
The CS5 Ultra is equipped with Cooper’s StabilEdge technology, which helps improve steering response and grant the driver optimal control over their vehicle even at higher speeds. To add, the tire features the Wear Square technology, which helps indicate the mileage on the tire. It’s also a visual representation of how many miles you have left.
The only drawback that this tire suffers from is traction on the ice and in deep snow, but keep in mind that this isn’t a winter-specific tire, so it’s not really that big of a deal.
