Cooper Adventurer H/T (Our Review)
Overall Assessment
The tire features Cooper’s proprietary R-Tech sidewall, which, coupled with a continuous center rib, does an excellent job of improving cornering stability and steering response. Not to mention that the tread compound is made of silica-infused rubber and features a non-directional pattern, ensuring superior traction on dry terrain.
Moreover, the tire is equipped with 3D Micro-Gauge sipes of variable depths and the tread has large circumferential grooves. This combination ensures reliable traction on wet terrain. Further, the silica that’s infused in the rubber helps in improving the grip on wet terrain.
Okay, so we have good traction on dry and wet roads, but what about winter traction? The siping that’s used in aiding wet traction also does an excellent job of improving traction on moderate snow as well as slush. We wouldn’t recommend this tire for deep snow and ice, though.
The Adventurer H/T features the Anti-Stone Retention technology, which, as the name implies, aids in preventing stone retention and drilling, which is a significant feature to have if you live in an area that’s full of gravel roads. The Adventurer H/T is a solid all-around performer, but you’ll have to endure minimal road noise.
Pros:
- Dependable traction on both dry and wet surfaces
- Offers a smooth and comfortable riding experience
- More affordable than other competitors in its class
- Performs nicely in moderate snow and slush
Cons:
- Not recommended for use in deep snow or on ice
- Road noise on rugged pavement can be annoying
