BFGoodrich Comp-2 A/S (Our Review)
Overall Assessment
The Comp-2 A/S is a tire that delivers equally impressive performance on both dry and wet terrain, being an all-season high-performance tire. Despite starting at a cost-effective price tag, the tire manages to display a performance that’s on par with significantly more expensive tires like the Pilot Sport AS 3+ from Michelin, especially when it comes to cornering.
There’s a huge emphasis on traction and cornering with this tire, but BFG didn’t forget about comfort. You can drive your car equipped with this tire for hours on end without feeling fatigued. Not to mention that it barely produces any noise, which allows for an even more pleasant experience. Consider checking our Review of Advantage T/A Sport by BFGoodrich here to see the difference.
We’re also quite impressed with this tire’s performance in snow. Most high-performance tires are pretty subpar when it comes to driving in snow, but not the Comp-2 A/S. However, we wouldn’t recommend this tire for driving on icy pavement as the tread pattern is a bit shallow.
Pros:
- Reliable traction on wet, dry, and even snowy terrain
- Delivers a comfortable and quiet driving experience
- Priced reasonably compared to other options in its class
- Available in a broad range of sizes and specifications
- One of the best in its class when it comes to cornering
Cons:
- Performance on icy pavement can benefit from some improvements
